Project Data - Import from Excel

With the release of LCM-1.1, the Import from Excel function is available in the project data for project admins. The possibility of preparing data in Excel or importing it from other systems means that, for example, public holidays can be quickly created in LCM Digital over several years or trades can be transferred from management systems.

Please note the order of the data in the tables listed. For the import, all information is taken over from the second line onward. Hidden rows and columns are also included in the import. Set filters are also ignored. All contents in the first row are ignored.

Important: Required fields are marked with * in the templates. Some data must be entered in a specific format. The following notes are provided for this purpose.

 

Calendar

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the calendar library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character.
  • Cannot be more than 150 characters.
* First Day of the week Text
  • One of the seven days of the week written in their corresponding names in English. Example: Either “Monday”, “Tuesday”, etc. Note: this is not case sensitive.*
  Non-working days Comma-Delimited Text
  • Delimited text should be either “Monday”, etc. Example: “Saturday, Sunday”.
* Working hours in a day Integer
  • Between 1 and 24 inclusive

 

Holidays

* Day Date
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Formatted as per the date format selected in the project
* Occurrence Text
  • Either “Occurs Once” or “Occurs Yearly”
  Name Text
  • Name of the holiday cannot be more than 150 characters

 

Phase

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the phase library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character
  • Cannot contain more than 150 characters
* Code Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Cannot contain more than 3 characters
  • Code doesn't already exist in the phase library in the project
  Description Text
  • Cannot contain more than 250 characters

 

Company

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the companies library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character
  • Cannot be more than 150 characters
* Code Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Code doesn’t already exist in the companies library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character
  • Cannot contain more than 3 characters
* Type Text
  • Either “Client”, “Consultant”, “Contractor” or “Subcontractor”
  Trade Text
  • The trade name and Phase code should be separated by a “pipe character”
  • In case of multiple trade and phase combinations assigned to the company, they should be separated by commas. Example: Trade 1|P1,Trade2|P1,Trade 3
  • The trades should exist in the trade library
  • The phases should exist in the phase library

Trade

* Name Text
  • Name + Phase Code are unique within the sheet
  • Name + Phase Code do not already exist in the trades library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character

* Company Code Text
  • Company code should exist in the company library
  • If there are multiple companies assigned to a trade, then they should be comma-delimited
  Phase Code Text
  • If empty, the trade will not be assigned to a phase
  • If filled, should exist in phase library
  Background Color RGB
  • If filled, Should be in the following RGB format “RGB(RRR,GGG,BBB)” *
  • If empty, trade will get a white background color
  Text Color RGB
  • If filled, Should be in the following RGB format “RGB(RRR,GGG,BBB)” *
  • If empty, trade will get a white background color
  Description Text
  • Cannot be more than 250 characters

 

Team

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the teams library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character
  • Cannot contain more than 150 characters
* Company Text
  • Should exist in the company library
* Trade Text
  • If there is a phase concatenated with the trade name:
    • It should be assigned to the trade in the trade library
    • the trade name and Phase Code should be separated by |
  • In case of multiple trade and phase combinations assigned to the company, they should be separated by commas. Example: Trade 1|P1,Trade2|P1,Trade 3
  • The trade/trade-phase should be assigned to the company
  Team Size Integer
  • If filled should be between 1 and 1000 inclusive
  • If empty, it gets assigned to 1

 

Area

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the area library in the project
  • Contains at least 1 non-space character
  • Cannot contain more than 150 characters

Subarea

* Area Text

 

  • Cannot be empty
  • The area should exist in the area library

  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn't already exist in the subarea library in the project

Fragnet Type

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already fragnet type in the teams library in the project

Zone Type 

* Name Text
  • Unique within the sheet
  • Name doesn’t already exist in the zone type library in the project

  Fragnet Type Text
  • If not empty, should exist in the Fragnet Type library
  Color RGB
  • If filled, Should be in the following RGB format “RGB(RRR,GGG,BBB)” *
  • If empty, the color is set to be white

Takt Type

* Zone Type Text

  Color RGB

  • If empty, the Takt Type will inherint the color of the Zone Type
