The critical path helps to:
- identify time-critical tasks
- prioritize resources, decisions, and controls
- and identify early on where action is needed.

Critical Path in lcmd
The critical path contains all linked processes that, if delayed, would affect the final process/milestone of the project. If a process in the critical chain is delayed, either a conflict arises or the completion date is postponed. Dependencies with offsets are also taken into account.
The affected processes are outlined with a red dashed line.
Show/Hide Critical Path
Use the slider to show or hide the critical path in the process plan view.
Multiple Critical Paths
In lcmd, you can mark any process as critical. To do this, click on the process details in the sidebar and enable the toggles.
Starting with this process, a critical path is displayed in reverse.
This allows you to track any number of critical paths and thus keep track of all bottlenecks in your project.
Filtering critical paths
In the filter menu you can filter all processes and milestones on the critical path.
