The export from lcmd to MS Project offers you the possibility to have the project status available in MS Project format at any time.
You can also export a base schedule and thus obtain the planned vs. actual comparison in MS Project.
The previous interface via the add-in is replaced by this new feature.

Select a baseline in lcmd
- You can export the process plan including an active baseline, i.e. an earlier version of your schedule. This can then be used in MS Project for a visual planned vs.actual comparison.
- In the process plan, click on the drop-down next to the project name, select “Baseline” and define a baseline schedule from the version history.
Export from lcmd to MS Project
- Your project can be either be exported in full or filtered to MS Project.
- The public holidays, which you have entered in lcmd are also transferred.
- In the process plan, click on the drop-down next to the project name and select “Export” in order to see the options you have to export.
- Please select "MPP XML" and then decide if you want the export to be automatically or manually scheduled.
Lcmd data in MS Project
- The exported xml.mpp file must be opened in MS Project using the functions open and then select xml files.
- You can now see all areas in MS Project as summary tasks in the corresponding hierarchy. The start and end date, the duration and dependencies are also exported.
- Feel free to add the column "% Completed ” to see the progress from lcmd.
- The column “Number19 ” is automatically created when doing the export and shows the progress target value of the baseline.
- The difference between the planned and actual progress is automatically calculated in another column: “Number20 ”. This gives you an overview of delayed and previously completed processes.
- Switch on the baseline in the Gantt chart to also display this information visually.
- Check "Do not export tasks without baseline" if you do not want to export newly added processes since the active baseline.
