With lcmd you can plan and control your procjects quikly and easily.
The most important objects for this are milestones and processes. With this special feature in our tool - the daily activities - you can detail your processes on a daily level and directly map the necessary steps.
Create process
- In the sidebar you will find a list of all the trades you need to have defined in advance.
- Drag the desired trade or milestone into the process plan to create a process or milestone.
- Double-click to rename your processes and milestones.
Edit process duration or start date
- You can edit the duration of a process by moving the mouse over the left or right edge of the process and then changing the process length by holding down the left mouse button.
- Move the processes and milestones in the desired order by directly touching the processes (hold down the left mouse button).
- Please note that it is not possible to move them to other areas. To do this, cut the processes (ctrl+x) and paste them in the desired position (ctrl+v).
- You can copy processes in the same way (ctrl+c) and then paste them anywhere in your process plan.
Multiple selection of processes
- Use the multiple selection to edit entire process chains (square symbol in the right-hand side menu).
- Alternatively, you can select individual processes with the CTRL key to select several processes and milestones.
- A black frame around a process indicates whether it is currently selected.
- The number on the icon indicates how many processes are currently selected.
Edit processes
- In addition to editing the process directly with the mouse (dragging, moving, copying, etc.), you will find even more options for making adjustments to processes in the details in the sidebar.
- You can change the name, the trade, the duration and the start date, the assigned resources and links.
Link processes
- To link processes or milestones with each other, open the dependency mode via the view settings.
- If links have already been created, you can now recognize them in the form of black lines.
- If you now move the mouse over the front or rear end of the process, plus signs will appear. Click on the plus signs of two processes to create a dependency.
- Alternatively, you can select several processes by holding down the control key and create a dependency using the link icon.
- This automatically creates an end-start dependency with a 0-day offset.
- You can differentiate between three different link types:
- End-to-start
- Start-to-start
- End-to-end
- You can delete the link again by selecting the arrow and pressing the delete key on your keyboard or by deleting the predecessor/successor in the process details.
Tracking process changes
- You can track the changes to a process in the history at any time.
- You can add your notes in the comment field.
Processes at daily level - Tasks
With the help of daily tasks, you can detail your processes on a daily basis and thus directly map the necessary work steps.
- In lcmd, processes are automatically assigned their own daily task for each day they last.
- You can view and edit the daily tasks in the sidebar under “Tasks”.
- These tasks allow you to detail processes and are used for daily control using the planning board - with a focus on weeks - or in the mobile app - with a focus on days - and are automatically synchronized with the process plan.
- If several tasks are due on one day, these can be created individually in the planning board.
Comments and Mentions
To make it easier to communicate with each other on the construction site, you can add comments to processes or milestones.
- To create a comment:
- Select a process or milestone and click the comment icon on the right side of the sidebar.
- Now you can mention other people who are also registered in lcmd by using the @ symbol in your comment.
- Write a comment and send it by clicking the paper airplane icon or pressing “Enter.”
- The mentioned user will then receive an email with a link to the process in which they were mentioned.
- Processes and milestones with comments have a purple circle next to them.
Displaying Milestones
By default, milestone names are displayed in a small flag to the right of the milestone for better readability. This view is visible in all calendar views (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
You can also change this view via the profile settings (top right) under Preferences.
