You can map important events in the project, such as completions or acceptances and handovers, with milestones in lcmd.
In lcmd, processes with duration zero are milestones. They can be created, edited, deleted and linked.

Add and delete milestones
- Click on the "Trade list icon" on the right.
- Drag and drop the diamond shaped tile next to the trade into the process plan at the desired position to insert a new milestone.
- Select one or more milestones that you want to delete.
- For multiple selection, hold down the control key and select the desired milestones with the mouse.
- Press Remove (DEL) to delete the milestones.
- You can use the Undo / Redo icons in the upper right corner to undo the action.
Link milestones
- Select the milestones you want to link by holding down the control key.
- Links can also be created between milestones and processes.
- To link them, click the "chain icon" on the right side of the bar.
- The created link is an end-start link.
- Alternatively, switch on the Dependency mode under the “eye” symbol at the top right.
- If you now hover over a milestone with the mouse, a “+” symbol appears at the front or back.
- Click at the back of the first milestone you want to link and at the front of the second milestone or process to create an end-to-start link.
Rename milestones
- Select a milestone in the process plan and click on the detail view in the bar on the right. Here you can customize the name of the milestone.
- Alternatively, you can double-click on a milestone to directly adjust the name of the milestone.
Convert milestones to processes
- Select the milestone for editing by clicking on it.
- Open the "Details" view in the bar on the right.
- Change the duration in the corresponding field to greater than zero.
- Milestones with a duration greater than zero are automatically converted into processes.
Compare milestones with baseline
- You can easily compare any two statuses of your planning and quickly identify delays that could impact your project success.
- To do this, use the function to compare milestones with baselines. See the individual steps in the corresponding video.
- Click on the "eye" button and select Buttom split view to show/hide the milestone plan area
- Select "Milestones" to see them in the lower area on the screen
- To see a comparison with a previous status, you need to select the baseline in the dashboard
- To see a comparison with a previous status, you must select the baseline in the project menu at the top of the table bar using the arrow next to the project name.
- Select a state where the milestones were already created.
- Hold the mouse over the milestones to see the details about the shift. Baseline is gray. Blue milestone is on time, green earlier and red later than planned in Baseline.
- Blue milestone = on time
- Green milestone = earlier than planned in baseline
- Red milestone = later than planned in baseline
Note: Double-click on the milestone name in the list to navigate to the milestone in the process plan.
