What are Areas?
An Area is the highest tier of a project and represents a single building within a project.
The concept of introducing “Areas" to a project is used as part of the Work Breakdown Structure and in software such as Primavera or C3D (a visual project controls software).
The concept of defining Areas enables the user to divide a project spatially.
The Areas library is necessary to create Subareas and to manually or automatically generate Takt Zones. Further information about the necessity of defining Areas in order to create the mentioned parameter can be found using the following sections of the Users Guide:
- Subareas
- Manually creating Takt Zones
- Automatically generating Takt Zones
Example: the building name such as Building 1 or House A.
